Space Planning (Architectural Design)
The right space makes a huge difference to where you live and work. When we are talking about space planning for a residential home, we have to consider a number of important factors. For example, is the Bedroom too small to accommodate both a king sized bed and storage? Will the proposed Kitchen size enable free movement and can all the essential fixtures and fittings be incorporated? etc.
The perfect answer to these questions along with many others, is ‘space planning’. This involves maximum utilisation of all available space in the efficient and effective manner according to the client’s particular needs and requirements. If we look at this from a financial perspective, it is evident space is one of the most valuable assets for anybody, with prices per square metre increasing all the time. It is therefore incredibly important to utilise space well and practically. Whatever the sector be it residential, commercial, retail, education etc., consideration to space planning is essential.
