Russen and Turner were delighted to have been entrusted as the lead designers for the re-roofing project at North Wootton Academy. Our role encompassed preparing the specification, tendering, and contract administration for the re-roofing of the flat roofs that serve the main building.
The project involved extensive remedial works, including the careful removal of roof chippings and the original mineral felt. In their place, a new roof over coating system was installed, which came with a comprehensive 20-year warranty providing both longevity and peace of mind.
Commencing in 2020 and completing in early 2023, the project posed unique challenges due to the vast areas and the need to carefully manage the works around the school term. Working with the Principal Contractor and the school site team, the works were completed with minimal disruption to the running of the school. The successful completion of this project ensures a safe and secure environment for both staff and pupils, while also enhancing the overall condition of the building with the use of modern materials.
