The refurbishment works at King’s Lynn Academy’s Sports Hall, aimed at enhancing the school’s sports facilities. The project entailed a comprehensive range of upgrades and improvements, resulting in a remarkable transformation.

Significant enhancements were made to various systems, such as the existing heating system emitters and the hot and cold-water system. Remedial works were also carried out on the below-ground draining system to ensure optimal functionality. Additionally, we provided the installation of additional electrical sockets, along with new lighting and internal decorations, to create a more inviting and functional space.

Russen and Turner Architectural Design were chosen to lead the redesign and refurbishment of the Sports Hall. The changes made have had a positive impact on the wider sports department, notably modernising the changing and showering facilities whilst catering to the evolving needs of the school community. Furthermore, a new gym was added to facilitate practical lessons, while a dedicated classroom was created to accommodate theory lessons—all within the same building.

The redesigned Sports Hall now stands as a testament to the commitment of King’s Lynn Academy to providing exceptional sports facilities for its students. The project has successfully revitalised the space, fostering an environment that promotes physical well-being and optimal learning experiences.
